Bees For Hope was founded after a meeting between Coopsol and Laurent, a businessman with a deep respect for bees and a long-standing love of Argentina. Together, Coopsol and Laurent had a shared dream of bringing the superior honey produced high in the mountains to market in equal partnership.
Bees are essential to maintaining the healthy lifecycles of plant life. Through beekeeping, not only can indigenous producers make a better living, they can also protect the biodiversity of the land they have lived off of and protected for thousands of years. Supporting the world’s bees supports all who farm, eat, and respect biodiversity.
For thousands of years, honey has been a cure-all, used both as a sweetener and as a healing agent. Unfortunately, all of this healing power is no longer present in most honey in the grocery store today. We want to bring that power back. When we appreciate honey for all it can do, beyond its delicious flavor, we will develop a greater stake in the health of the unspoiled corners of the globe that can produce such purity, and the people who harness and harvest it.
All over the world, there are populations of indigenous people at risk of losing their land, culture and ways of life. By collaborating fully with the producers of superior honey from the world’s unspoiled corners, we can support the people who make it and the environment that makes this quality possible.
